Our founder, John Brown, grew up in a small town just outside Rolla, where values like hard work, honesty, and community meant everything. Thanks to the guidance of local mentors, he was introduced early to the idea that owning and investing in property could be a way to build something meaningful, not just for himself, but for others.

After a successful basketball career that took him from the University of Missouri to the professional level, he returned home each off-season to begin building homes and apartments in the area. What started as a few projects soon became a full-time calling. In 1985, he laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong career in real estate development and management.

Brown Rentals, LLC was later established as part of that legacy. It’s focused on managing and maintaining the kind of housing people could feel good about calling home. Today, our company remains family-owned and committed to the same community values it was founded on. We take pride in offering quality rental properties across Rolla and the surrounding areas, and in helping our neighbors find a place where they can truly feel at home.
